What is Scrip?
The Scrip Program is based on the gift cards and certificates issued by many stores in our community where you already shop. Bishop Ryan Catholic School buys certificates at a negotiated discount and exchanges them for your cash at full face value. The discount, which ranges from 2% to 40%, is a contribution retained by Bishop Ryan.

Is it easy to use?
Yes; Scrip can be used just like cash. There is no difference with using Scrip to make your purchases, except that you are using gift certificates to complete transactions.

What's the catch?
There isn't one! Scrip doesn't cost you a thing to use! For example, let's say you buy $500 worth of Marketplace Foods Scrip for one month's worth of groceries. You receive $500 worth of Marketplace gift cards to buy $500 worth of groceries. Bishop Ryan bought the certificates for $475, so Marketplace Foods, in essence, donated $25 to our school!

Where can I use Scrip? 
There are currently over 90 restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, and retail stores in our area where you can use Scrip! See the Scrip Order Form (located below) for a complete listing of local participating businesses and the discounts that Bishop Ryan can earn. If you travel or shop online, there is also a list of national retailers who participate in the Scrip program. You make special orders off the national list in the Bishop Ryan administration office. Special orders are placed Monday mornings at 10am and in the office by Thursday of the same week. Special orders must be paid for before the order is placed.

How do I order Scrip?
1) Print out the Scrip Order Form (located below), complete it, and make checks payable to BRCS.
Bring the completed form to the Bishop Ryan administration office. (Door A, the south main entrance, at 316 11th Ave NW)
Scrip orders can be placed and filled during normal school hours.
(Scrip Order Forms are also available in the administration office.)

2) Scrip is sold after weekend Masses and in the parish offices of our four Minot Catholic churches during normal business hours.
